Quote pages should have more information of the person making the quote, ex:

    Name:
    Quote:
    Source:
    Country: (state/city optional)

    etc.,

That way confusion won't be there, and also those with the same name won't get mixed up.

    An idea.

Right now we have 21,375 quotes on this site. So to add this we'd have to go through and find the source to over 20,000 quotes. This would be quite impossible as at the current time we haven't trouble just going through and making sure all the quotes are in the right categories.

      Nothing's impossible.

You only make it impossible by not attempting it. I am sure you have more than 1 person on your staff? It may take time but it's better than what you currently have. It also helps in preventing "spam".

To add onto Tim's reply is that at the same time, we're having to deal with those who place quotes up, leaving us to find/search to verify due to there are some who try to claim a quote is theirs when in fact, it's not. But just like him, I agree that if you are interested please do go to the link provided and hope you'll join us

Yes, there is more than one staff here on FindQuotations. However, at this point we still haven't even been able to go through 1/4 of the quotes just to get them all in the right categories. We've been working over a year and still have a long ways to go. That's our first priority plus handeling tickets, approving new quotes, etc.

To do what you're suggesting isn't impossible, but is close to it. First, we'd have to completely change our entire system around so that each quote has what you're asking for. Secondly, then we'd have to go through EVERY quote... all 21,000 of them and do a search for them on google or wherever to find where they come from. This could take years to complete and at this point we haven't even completed our first project.

Additionally, if you are researching for something and are using our site and need to cite your exact source where the quote comes from, simply take the quote and do a google search on it. Not that hard. I'm sure that 98% of the members who come to our site could care less what the exact source of the quote is. We've been open for a while now and you are the first member to ever bring this up.
